Optimization of scan delay for multi-phase computed tomography by using bolus tracking in normal canine kidney
Hyun Cho, Da-Hae Lee, Ah-Young Cha, Dong-Eun Kim, Dong-Woo Chang, Jihye Choi 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2018, 제 19권 제 2호 15 290-295 (6 pages)
the injection protocol used in this study, the optimal scan delay times for renal arterial, corticomedullary, and nephrographic phases were 5, 10, and 30 sec after triggering at 100 HU of aortic enhancement using the bolus-tracking technique. The bolus-tracking technique is useful in multi-phase renal CT study as it compensates for different transit times to the kidney among different animals, requires a small dose of contrast media, and does not require additional patient radiation exposure. -

into different cloud providers, and we apply the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) on the stored data in the cloud provider. Instead of using plain secret sharing using public key ciphers we employ Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Hence, replicating data into multi-clouds by using a multi-share technique may reduce the risk of data intrusion and increase data integrity. This work aims to promote the use of multi-clouds due to its ability to reduce security risks that affect the cloud computing user. -

the optimization that has to be done when any other tries to come through the other firewall and sharing the information will improve the network performance very well. Firewall will be mainly concentrating on intra firewall and also inter firewall optimization that will be helpful to improve the security of the network. Previously, there has been the use of cross-domain privacy preserving cooperative firewall policy optimization protocol. But there is no improvement that made a lot of differen... -
Optimal scan delay depending on contrast material injection duration in abdominal multi-phase computed tomography of pancreas and liver in normal Beagle dogs

for optimal fixed scan delays and diagnostic scan delays associated with the bolus-tracking technique using various contrast material injection durations in canine abdominal multi-phase computed tomography (CT). This study consisted of two experiments employing the crossover method. In experiment 1, three dynamic scans at the porta hepatis were performed using 5, 10 and 15 sec injection durations. In experiment 2, two CT scans consisting of five multi-phase series with different scan delays of 5... -
Synthesize multi-walled carbon nanotubes via catalytic chemical vapour deposition method on Fe-Ni bimetallic catalyst supported on kaolin

to produce multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) using catalytic chemical vapour deposition (CCVD) method. The catalysts and MWCNTs prepared using the optimal conditions are characterized using high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), high-resolution scanning electron microscope (HRSEM), electron diffraction spectrometer (EDS), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The XRD/EDS... -
Hexane-Soluble Fraction of the Common Fig, Ficus carica, Inhibits Osteoclast Differentiation in Murine Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophages and RAW 264.7 Cells

Osteoclasts, derived from multipotent myeloid progenitor cells, play homeostatic roles in skeletal modeling and remodeling, but may also destroy bone in pathological conditions such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoclast development depends critically on a differentiation factor, the receptor activator of NF-ՊB ligand (RANKL). In this study, we found that the hexane soluble fraction of the common fig Ficus carica (HF6-FC) is a potent inhibitor of osteoclastogenesis in... -
Effect of Bacillus mesonae H20-5 Treatment on Rhizospheric Bacterial Community of Tomato Plants under Salinity Stress
Shin Ae Lee, Hyeon Su Kim, Mee Kyung Sang, Jaekyeong Song, Hang-Yeon Weon 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 10 Pages

Plant growth-promoting bacteria improve plant growth under abiotic stress conditions. However, their effects on microbial succession in the rhizosphere are poorly understood. In this study, the inoculants of Bacillus mesonae strain H20-5 were administered to tomato plants grown in soils with different salinity levels (EC of 2, 4, and 6 dS/m). The bacterial communities in the bulk and rhizosphere soils were examined 14 days after H20-5 treatment using Illumina MiSeq sequencing of the bacterial... -
Transgenic Rice Plants Expressing an Active Tobacco Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase Induce Multiple Defense Responses
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 9 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2008, 24권 4호 2 375-383 (9 pages)
It is well known that NtMEK2, a tobacco MAPK kinase, is the upstream kinase of both salicylic acidinduced protein kinase and wound-induced protein kinase. In addition, expression of NtMEK2DD, a constitutively active mutant of NtMEK2, is known to induce multiple defense responses in tobacco. In this study, transgenic rice plants that contained an active or inactive mutant of NtMEK2 under the control of a steroid inducible promoter were generated and used to determine if a similar MAPK cascade is... -

produce conductive composites containing less multi-walled CNTs (MWCNTs) than required for pure polypropylene (PP) through two approaches: one using various mixing methods and the other using immiscible polymer blends. Variants of the conductive PP composite filled with MWCNT was prepared by dry mixing, melt mixing, mechanofusion, and compression molding. The percolation threshold (Φc) of the MWCNT-PP composites was most successfully lowered using the mechanofusion process than with any other... -

Curcumin protects the skin against radiation-induced epidermal damage and prevents morphological changes induced by irradiation skin, thereby maintaining the epidermal thickness and cell density of basal layers. In this study, the effects of topical curcumin treatment on radiation burns were evaluated in a mini-pig model. Histological and clinical changes were observed five weeks after radiation exposure to the back (Co gamma-radiation, 50 Gy). Curcumin was applied topically to irradiated skin...
