대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2004, 제 5권 제 3호 3 197-205 (9 pages)
We have determined the complete nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences of the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) strain KV1899, isolated from a fattening pig in Korea. In comparison with 22 fully sequenced JEV genomes currently available, we found that the 10,963- nucleotide RNA genome of KV1899 has a 13-nucelotide deletion in the 3' non-translated variable region and 53 unique nucleotide sequences including 3' non-translated region (NTR). Its single open reading frame has a total of 28... -

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2011, 27권 2호 7 148-155 (8 pages)
Our previous sequence and phylogenetic analyses of the Korean Rice stripe virus (RSV) suggested possible genetic reassortment of RNA segments, but whether this RNA variation contributed to the recent RSV outbreaks in Korea is yet unclear. To further clarify these RSVRNA segment variations, we developed a reverse transcription- polymerase reaction/restriction enzyme (RTPCR/ RE) analysis-based method. We identified five REs, including DraI, EcoR1, NdeI/AseI, and SpeI, that could differentiate RSV... -

Naphthyridine compounds are important, because they exhibit various biological activities including anticancer, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activity. Some naphthyridines have antimitotic effects or demonstrate anticancer activity by inhibiting topoisomerase II. These compounds have been investigated as potential anticancer agents, and several compounds are now part of clinical trials. A series of naphthyridine derivatives were evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxic activities against... -

Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is known as a key prod- uct for agriculture in several countries across the world. Beet soil-borne virus (BSBV) triggers substan- tial economic damages to sugar beet by reducing the quantity of the yield and quality of the beet sugars. We conducted the present study to report the complete genome sequences of two BSBV isolates in Turkey for the first time. The genome organization was identi- cal to those previously established BSBV isolates. The tripartite genome of... -
Identification of Differentially Up-regulated Genes in Apple with White Rot Disease

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2019, 35권 5호 13 530-537 (8 pages)
Fuji, a major apple cultivar in Korea, is susceptible to white rot. Apple white rot disease appears on the stem and fruit; the development of which deteriorates fruit quality, resulting in decreases in farmers income. Thus, it is necessary to characterize molecular markers related to apple white rot resistance. In this study, we screened for differentially expressed genes between uninfected apple fruits and those infected with Botryosphaeria dothidea, the fungal pathogen that causes white rot.... -
Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification for the Detection of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni in Peaches

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2019, 35권 6호 9 635-643 (9 pages)
To detect Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni, a loopmediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) detection method were developed. The LAMP assay was designed to test crude plant tissue without pre-extraction, or heating incubation, and without advanced analysis equipment. The LAMP primers were designed by targeting an ABC transporter ATP-binding protein, this primer set was tested using the genomic DNA of Xanthomonas and non-Xanthomonas strains, and a ladder product was generated from the genomic DNA... -

insignificant changes. Changes in pressure had some significant effect after an increase in force of 2.6 N, affirming the need for consistent pressure for measurement. For the injury test phase, a significant 69% decrease occurred comparing injured areas to the same area on the uninjured side, and a significant 74% occurred comparing injured and non-injured areas on the same limb. Conclusions: Microcurrent through the skin shows promise as an objective method of assessing a soft tissue injury by... -

대한치과교정학회 The Korean Journal of Orthodontics 1996, 제 26권 제 6호 6 705-715 (11 pages)
The lingual multibracket appliance was developed to overcome the unesthetic nature of traditional fixed orthodontic labial appliances; however, treatment with this appliance was regarded as very difficult as well as a time-consuming. Recently, these problems have been reduced because of advances in lingual bracket systems, improved indirect bonding technique and the development of more flexible wires. There has been a marked increase in the number of adults desiring orthodontic treatment over... -

B13 is a ceramide analogue and apoptosis inducer with potent cytotoxic activity. A series of arylpropyl sulfonamide analogues of B13 were evaluated for their cytotoxicity using MTT assays in prostate cancer PC-3 and leukemia HL-60 cell lines. Some compounds (4, 9, 13, 14, 15, and 20) showed stronger activities than B13 in both tumor cell lines, and compound (15) gave the most potent activity with IC50 values of 29.2 and 20.7 ՌM, for PC-3and HL-60 cells, respectively. Three-dimensional... -
Pathological Status of Pyricularia angulata Causing Blast and Pitting Disease of Banana in Eastern India
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 12 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2017, 33권 1호 2 9-20 (12 pages)
Incidence of leaf blast on nursery plants and pitting disease on maturing banana bunches has been recorded in banana plantations during rainy season in Eastern India during 2014 to 2015. Taxonomical identification as well as DNA sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer region of fungus isolated from affected tissue culture derived plantlets and fruits confirmed the pathogen to be Pyricularia angulata Hashioka “in both the cases”. Kochs postulates were proved on... -

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2013, 29권 4호 5 397-409 (13 pages)
The full-genome sequences of fourteen isolates of Broad bean wilt virus 2 (BBWV2), collected from broad bean, pea, spinach, bell pepper and paprika plants in Korea during the years 2006-2012, were determined and analyzed comparatively along with fifteen previously reported BBWV2 genome sequences. Sequence analyses showed that RNA-1 and RNA-2 sequences of BBWV2 Korean isolates consisted of 5950-5956 and 3568-3604 nucleotides, respectively. Full-length genome sequencebased phylogenetic analyses... -
Ribgrass Mosaic Tobamovirus Occurred on Chinese Cabbage in Korea
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 12 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2010, 26권 4호 5 328-339 (12 pages)
A tobamovirus, Ribgrass mosaic virus (RMV), was identified newly from chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris L. pekinensis) in Korea. Virus disease incidence of RMV on chinese cabbage was 37.9% in alpine area on August in 1993. RMV induced the symptoms of necrotic ring spots, necrotic streak on midrib and malformation. RMV, Ca1 and Ca3 isolate, could infect 35 species out of 45 plants including Chenopodium amaranticolor. Physical properties of RMV Ca1 isolate were very stable as 10-8 over for...
