첨가반응속도를 자외선 분광분석법으로 측정하여 pH에 따르는 반응속도 상수의 변화, general base 및 치환기 효과등으로부터 넓은 pH 범위에서 실험치와 잘 일치하는 반응속도식을 구하였고, 실험사실에 잘 맞는 반응 메카니즘을 제안하였다. 즉, pH 9.00 이상에서의 반응속도는 hydroxide ion의 농도에 비례하는 sulfide anion이 첨가되는 전형적인 Michael type의 반응이 일어나며, pH 9.00 ~ 7.00에서는 thiourea의 중성분자와 그의 anion들이 경쟁적으로 첨가되며 pH 7.00 이하에서는 thiourea의 중성분자만이 첨가됨을 알았다. -

Methanol을 溶媒로 한 thiourea와 m- 또는 p- 置換 benzyl bromide 類 와의 反應速度를 電氣傳導度法으로 測定하였다. Hammett 置換基定數와 Log k 와의 關係를 調査한 結果 benzyl bromide에 對한 thiourea의 $SN_2$反應에 있어서 C-Br結合의 解離가 이 反應의 律速段階임을 알 수 있었다. 電子供與基와 電子吸引基는 다같이 反應速度에 定量的인 影響을 주었으나 그 樣式은 서로 달랐다. 이 結果에 符合되는 反應 메카니즘을 考察하였다. 몇 가지 熱力學的 파라미터로 求하였다. -

티오요소 용출용액에 Fe 분말을 첨가하여 silver를 침전법으로 회수하고자하였다. Fe 분말 첨가량, 교반속도, 온도 등과 같은 변수들을 조사하였다. Silver 침전율은 Fe 분말 첨가량, 교반속도 그리고 온도가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 가장 많은 silver 침전율이 나타나는 조건은 Fe 분말 첨가량이 10 g일 때, 교반속도가 500 rpm일 때 였다.
