We studied the effects of ginseng protopanaxadiol (PD) and protopanaxatriol (PT) saponins on the analgesia using several pain tests such as writhing, formalin, and tail-flick test. Using mouse, pretreatment of PD or PT saponins (i.p.) induced inhibition of abdominal constrictions caused by 0.9% acetic acid administration(i.p.). \'태극의 신화적 이해\'라는 제목의 본 발표문은 태극 문양과 용호신화의 상관관계를 밝혀보려는 시도라는 관점에서 출발하여 검은사지의 태극 비슷한 문양은 감은사와 어떤 관계에서 이해될 수 있는가에 초점을 두고 있다. 감은사는 통일신라를 이룩한 문무왕이 자신이 죽은 후 동해의 큰 용이 되어 왜의 침입을 수호하고자 하는 취지를 받들어 창건된 사찰이다. 따라서 감은사를 이해하기 위해서는 고대 한국의 용 신화에 대해 알아보는 것이 그 순서라고 본다. 본고에서는 통일신라 시기까지 국한해 보았다.
