Effect of Taekwondo Training on Physical Fitness and Growth Index According to IGF-1 Gene Polymorphism in Children
The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 7 Pages
The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 2015, Vol.19 No.4 6 341-347 (7 pages)
physical fitness and growth index depending on different IGF-1 gene polymorphisms. The subjects of the study were 44 male students who were 8 year years old. The IGF-1 gene showed the highest frequency of 18 CA repeat (190 bp) in 50% of subjects, and was found in the homozygote (n=11), heterozygote (n=22) and non-carriers (n=11). The results of the physical fitness and growth index among the gene polymorphism groups indicated no significant differences but the expected height of the non-carrier... -
The correlation between the physical power of golf players and the Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 test
Jae-eun Kim, Jong-eun Yim, Kwang-sun Do 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 5 Pages
3 13-17 (5 pages)
that the 90/90 was correlated with VJ, SUAT, and SCP scores (p<0.05). Single leg stance was correlated with VJ, SUAT, over head deep squat, and bridge with leg extension were correlated with VJ (p<0.05). The toe touch was correlated with SUAT results (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of this study showed that the TPI Level 1 test and power test were correlated with the performance of the golf players. Future studies have shown that fitness program development and further research are needed. -

and predict problem that may arise in performing daily and functional activities. Goal setting is associated with improved rehabilitation outcomes in individuals with hemiparetic stroke. This study was conducted to assess the effects of having awareness and satisfaction of goals on the functional status of individuals with hemiparetic stroke. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Eighty-one people who had been diagnosed with stroke participated in this study. The study was conducted through a... -
Perception and use of gait measures among physical therapists in South Korea
Ho Young Jang, You Lim Kim, Sung-jin Kim, Tak Yong Yoon, Kyung Hun Kim, Ick Keun Ahn, Suk Min Lee Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 6 Pages
7 90-95 (6 pages)
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical therapists’ perception of the use of gait measures, the frequency of the gait measures used, and also to identify the barriers that limit the use of these assessment tools. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Physical therapists from the Seoul, Gyeonggi area from March to July 2016 were included in the study. Over the course of 18 weeks, a cross-sectional study was conducted with a self-report questionnaire. A total of 700... -
Effects of corrective exercises on selective functional movement assessment and health risk appraisal in middle-aged women
Jae Eun Kim, Cheong Kim, Sin-seop Kim 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 8 Pages
4 185-192 (8 pages)
total of seventeen subjects in the exercise group and fourteen subjects in the control group participated in the study. All subjects were tested using Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and HRA for the baseline measurement and joined an exercise program of their group for one hour per session, twice a week for four weeks. The experimental group was provided with the corrective exercises and the control group was given the general fitness program. A follow-up test was conducted after... -
Effect of Producing Different Phenazines on Bacterial Fitness and Biological Control in Pseudomonas chlororaphis 30-84
The Plant Pathology Journal 15 Pages
5 44-58 (15 pages)
to understand the fitness effects of producing different phenazines, we constructed isogenic derivatives of P. chlororaphis 30-84 that differed only in the type of phenazines produced. Altering the type of phenazines produced by P. chlororaphis 30-84 enhanced the spectrum of fungal pathogens inhibited and altered the degree of take-all disease suppression. These strains also differed in their ability to promote extracellular DNA release, which may contribute to the observed differences in the... -

of doctoral theses on physical disabilities in Korea from 2006 to 2010? Second., what were the σends of doctoral theses on physical disabilities by the type of theses in Korea from 2006 to 2010? Third., what were the trends of doctoral theses on physical disabilities by themes of theses in Korea from 2006 to 2010? The results are as follows. First, from the viewpoint of special education, there were no studies on preschool students since 2007. So studies on physical disabilities in the area of... -

2019, vol.17 no.3 2 23-42 (20 pages)
a case study, this research examines how one fitness chain company in Korea is differentiating itself and transforming the industry dynamics. Using interviews as primary research source, this paper incorporates the service-profit chain framework to examine the critical success factors of the fitness industry, identify differentiating service delivery factors, and explore further opportunities to establish as a sustainable business model. Finally, this study derives implications from employee and... -
Hyperlipidemia as a predictor of physical functioning for stroke
Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 6 Pages
8 88-93 (6 pages)
results of this study show that having a history of hyperlipidemia before stroke affects static and dynamic postural balance performance, anticipatory dynamic postural balance, and gait endurance in individuals with chronic hemiparetic stroke. Based on the results of this study, we also suggest treatment for hyperlipidemia should be implemented throughout the therapeutic interventions, such as pharmacological or exercise programs, in order to restore the physical function of stroke survivors. -
