한국음악교육학회 음악교육연구 2020, 제 49권 제 3호 3 51-77 (27 pages)
The purpose of this study is to research the characteristics of music teacher training courses and teacher qualification systems in England, Australia and New Zealand. To this end, a literature study was conducted on the education system of each country, teacher education system, music teacher curriculum, and teacher qualification system. This study found that music teacher training courses and teacher qualifications in Australia and New Zealand are based on the England education system formed... -

of Confidence as a Speaker (PRCS) by Paul (1966). The preliminary K-MPAS comprising 26 items was conducted to 230 college music major students to verify the reliability and validity. As a result of the item analysis, it was determined that two of the 26 items were inappropriate, so the remaining 24 items were finally selected to reconstruct the K-MPAS. The scale was very high in internal consistency, split-half reliability, and test-retest reliability, and concurrent validity was also high. -
Antioxidant Effects of Pyrogallol in Neural Cells and Mice Brain
Jisub Moon, Heesun Gwak, Tae-Hee Lee, Eun Suk An, Yun-Bae Kim, Dongsun Park 한국교원대학교 뇌기반교육연구소 Brain, Digital, & Learning 12 Pages
한국교원대학교 뇌기반교육연구소 Brain, Digital, & Learning 2019, 제 9권 제 3호 2 113-124 (12 pages)
Polyphenols can easily react with reactive oxygen species (ROS) resulting in powerful antioxidant activity. Pyrogallol is a polyphenol found in a variety of fruits and vegetables. Therefore, plants containing pyrogallol can be used for their antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-allergic, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, its effectiveness as an antioxidant is still a matter of debate because pyrogallol is also a superoxide anion generator and induces superoxide anion-mediated... -
Antipruritic effect of curcumin on histamine-induced itching in mice

Itching is a common clinical symptom of skin disease that significantly affects a patient’s quality of life. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) receptors of keratinocytes and peripheral nerve fibers in skin are involved in the regulation of itching as well as pain. In this study, we investigated whether curcumin, which acts on TRPV1 receptors, affects histamine-induced itching in mice, using behavioral tests and electrophysiological approaches. We found that histamine-induced... -
Tetramethylpyrazine reverses anxiety-like behaviors in a rat model of post-traumatic stress disorder

anxiety in rats after single prolonged stress (SPS) exposure by reversing the serotonin (5-HT) and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis dysfunction. Rats were given TMP (10, 20, or 40 mg/kg, i.p. ) for 14 days after SPS exposure. Administration of TMP significantly reduced grooming behavior, increased the time spent and number of visits to the open arm in the elevated plus maze test, and significantly increased the number of central zone crossings in the open field test. TMP administration... -
JPH203, a selective L-type amino acid transporter 1 inhibitor, induces mitochondria-dependent apoptosis in Saos2 human osteosarcoma cells

Most normal cells express L-type amino acid transporter 2 (LAT2). However, L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1) is highly expressed in many tumor cells and presumed to support their increased growth and proliferation. This study examined the effects of JPH203, a selective LAT1 inhibitor, on cell growth and its mechanism for cell death in Saos2 human osteosarcoma cells. FOB human osteoblastic cells and Saos2 cells expressed LAT1 and LAT2 together with their associating protein 4F2 heavy chain,... -
Genistein attenuates isoflurane-induced neurotoxicity and improves impaired spatial learning and memory by regulating cAMP/CREB and BDNF-TrkB-PI3K/Akt signaling
TaoJiang, Xiu-qinWang, ChuanDing, Xue-lianDu 대한생리학회-대한약리학회 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 11 Pages
대한생리학회-대한약리학회 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 2017, Vol.21 No.6 2 579-589 (11 pages)
Anesthetics are used extensively in surgeries and related procedures to prevent pain. However, there is some concern regarding neuronal degeneration and cognitive deficits arising from regular anesthetic exposure. Recent studies have indicated that brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and cyclic AMP response element-binding protein (CREB) are involved in learning and memory processes. Genistein, a plant-derived isoflavone, has been shown to exhibit neuroprotective effects. The present study... -
Sodium butyrate has context-dependent actions on dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and other metabolic parameters
Eun-SolLee, Dong-SungLee, PrakashRajPeya, Youn-ChulKim, Dae-GilKang, Ho-SubLee, Byung-ChulOh, DaeHoLee 대한생리학회-대한약리학회 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 11 Pages

Sodium butyrate (SB) has various metabolic actions. However, its effect on dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) needs to be studied further. We aimed to evaluate the metabolic actions of SB, considering its physiologically relevant concentration. We evaluated the effect of SB on regulation of DPP-4 and its other metabolic actions, both in vitro (HepG2 cells and mouse mesangial cells) and in vivo (high fat diet [HFD]-induced obese mice). Ten-week HFD-induced obese C57BL/6J mice were subjected to SB... -
Effects of tianeptine on symptoms of fibromyalgia via BDNF signaling in a fibromyalgia animal model

대한생리학회-대한약리학회 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 2017, Vol.21 No.4 1 361-370 (10 pages)
Previous reports have suggested that physical and psychological stresses may trigger fibromyalgia (FM). Stress is an important risk factor in the development of depression and memory impairments. Antidepressants have been used to prevent stress-induced abnormal pain sensation. Among various antidepressants, tianeptine has been reported to be able to prevent neurodegeneration due to chronic stress and reverse decreases in hippocampal volume. To assess the possible effect of tianeptine on FM... -

with its functional interacting γ2 subunit, hLRRC52. As previously reported, Slo3 K+ current was unaffected by iberiotoxin or 4-aminopyridine, but was inhibited by ~50% by 20 mM TEA. Extracellular alkalinization potentiated hSlo3 K+ current, and internal alkalinization and Ca2+ elevation induced a leftward shift its activation voltage. NS1619, which acts intracellularly to modulate hSlo1 gating, attenuated hSlo3 K+ currents, whereas LDD175 increased this current and induced membrane potential...
