Anthracnose development by Colletotrichum musae was observed to be significantly less in the fruits of the banana cultivar ``Embul`` (Mysore, AAB) infected with Phyllosticta musarum than in fruits without such infections. Anthracnose disease originates from quiescent C. musae infections in the immature fruit.
