both groups. Fricatives and affricates in the manner of articulation and alveolar and palatal in the place of articulation are the ones that benefit from high frequency coding. Alveolar plosive sounds were most difficult sounds in both groups and this confirms previous studies of consonant recognition in Korean. 인간은 어음을 지각하기 위해서 다양한 음향 신호 (acoustic cue)를 사용한다. 신호가중치(cue weighting) 란 이러한 다양한 음향 신호를 사용하는데 있어서 어음을 지각하기 위해 특정한 신호에 좀 더 집중하여 가중치를 두 는 것을 의미한다(Mayo & Turk, 2004; Nittrouer & Miller, 1997; Ohde & Harley, 1997; Walley & Carrell, 1983). 신호 가중치는 개인마다 차이가 있고 자음군의 유 형, 청력상태, 연령, 듣기 환경 등에 의해서도 차이를 보일 수 있다(Hedrick et al., 2011; Hedrick & Younger, 2007; Nittrouer, 2002). -
