the three laminitic mares from the rich pasture in the main part of the semireserve and to confine them onto the poorer pasture of the small separately fenced area. All three affected mares had fully recovered from their laminitic condition. Prevention of grass laminitis can be achieved by the following measures: 1. Reduction in grass intake could be achieved by increasing the grazing pressure by an increase in stocking rate of the horses or mixed grazing with another species such as sheep. 2. A... -

Sodium butyrate (SB) has various metabolic actions. However, its effect on dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) needs to be studied further. We aimed to evaluate the metabolic actions of SB, considering its physiologically relevant concentration. We evaluated the effect of SB on regulation of DPP-4 and its other metabolic actions, both in vitro (HepG2 cells and mouse mesangial cells) and in vivo (high fat diet [HFD]-induced obese mice). Ten-week HFD-induced obese C57BL/6J mice were subjected to SB... -
Resveratrol raises in vitro anticancer effects of paclitaxel in NSCLC cell line A549 through CO X-2 expression

대한생리학회-대한약리학회 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology 2017, Vol.21 No.5 2 465-474 (10 pages)
The aim of this study was to determine the raising anticancer effects of resveratrol (Res) on paclitaxel (PA) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell line A549. The 10 µg/ml of Res had no effect on human fetal lung fibroblast MRC-5 cells or on A549 cancer cells and the 5 or 10 µg/ml of PA also had no effect on MRC-5 normal cells. PA-L (5 µg/ml) and PA-H (10 µg/ml) had the growth inhibitory effects in NSCLC cell line A549, and Res increased these growth inhibitory... -
Comparison of Bacterial Community of Healthy and Erwinia amylovora Infected Apples

Fire blight disease, caused by Erwinia amylovora, could damage rosaceous plants such as apples, pears, and raspberries. In this study, we designed to understand how E. amylovora affected other bacterial communities on apple rhizosphere; twig and fruit endosphere; and leaf, and fruit episphere. Limited studies on the understanding of the microbial community of apples and changes the community structure by occurrence of the fire blight disease were conducted. As result of these experiments, the...
