Screening of Rice Blast Resistance Genes from Aromatic Rice Germplasms with SNP Markers
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 10 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2010, 26권 1호 10 70-79 (10 pages)
Rice blast is one of the serious devastating diseases. This study was carried out to determine the genetic diversities of blast resistance (R) genes form 86 accessions of aromatic rice with eight SNP markers, z4792, zt4792, z60510, zt6057, k6415, k6411, k39575 and t256, which showed the close-set linkage to 6 major genes, Piz, Piz-t, Pik, Pik-m, Pik-p, and Pit. Four accessions of indica type, Mayataung, Yekywin Yinkya Hmwe, Basmati9-93, and Basmati5854, showed the positive amplicons of six major... -
Transgenic Rice Plants Expressing an Active Tobacco Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase Induce Multiple Defense Responses
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 9 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2008, 24권 4호 2 375-383 (9 pages)
Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, the bacterial blight pathogen of rice. In addition, prolonged activation of the MAPK induced the generation of hydrogen peroxide and up-regulated the expression of defense-related genes including the pathogenesis-related genes, peroxidases and glutathione S-transferases. These results demonstrate that NtMEK2 is functionally replaceable with rice MAPK kinase in inducing the activation of the downstream MAPK, which in turn induces multiple defense responses in rice. -
Phytobiome as a Potential Factor in Nitrogen-Induced Susceptibility to the Rice Blast Disease

for a long time. Among the nutrients having impact on susceptibility/resistance to crop diseases, nitrogen is one of the most important nutrients for plant growth and development. In rice plants, excess nitrogen via fertilization in agricultural systems is known to increase susceptibility to the rice blast disease. Mechanisms underlying such phenomenon, despite its implication in yield and sustainable agriculture, have not been fully elucidated yet. A few research efforts attempted to link... -

Preparation and characterization of microporous NaOH activated carbons from hydrofluoric acid leached rice husk and its application for lead(II) adsorption
A. F. Hassan, A. M. Youssef 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 10 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2014, Vol.15 No.1 8 57-66 (10 pages)
as an activating agent. Hydrofluoric acid pre-leached rice husk was used as a precursor. After leaching, the precursor was washed with distilled water, dried, crushed, and then sieved; a size fraction of 0.3-0.5 mm was selected for carbonization in the absence of air at 600°C. The carbonization product (LC) was mixed with NaOH at ratios of 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4 (wt of LC: wt of NaOH) and the produced ACs after activation at 800°C were designated NLC21, NLC31, and NLC41, respectively. Surface and...
