a wearable miniaturized inertial sensor. Sensitivity, specificity, and predictive values were calculated using the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis for the measured values in each section. Optimal values for fall risk classification were determined. Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the risk of future falls based on TUG. Results: The cut-off values of the 6 sections of the TUG were determined, as follows: sit-to-stand >2.00 seconds (p<0.05), forward gait... -

as a predictive variable for the BBS and FGA, and the TIS and BBS were used as predictive variables to determine the FGA in multiple regression analysis. Results: In the group with a BBS score of >45 for regression equation for predicting BBS score using TIS score, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.234, and the R2 was 0.500 in the group with a BBS score of ≤45. In the group with an FGA score >15 for regression equation for predicting FGA score using TIS score, the R2 was 0.193, and... -
Predictive validity of the gait scale in the Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment for stroke survivors
Seung-heon An, Young-ju Jee, Dong-geon Lee, Sun-hae Song, Gyu-chang Lee 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 8 Pages

which predicts falls in stroke survivors, the cut-off value was 8.5 (sensitivity 72%; specificity 65%) and the area under the curve was 0.75 (95% confidence interval: 0.60-0.90, p<0.007). There was a significant difference in the OLST, SST, FM-LE, and TIS between the subjects with POMA-GS >8.5 and the subjects with POMA-GS ≤8.5. Conclusions: The POMA-GS could be a useful tool in predicting falls in stroke survivors, as its discrimination capacity and predictive validity is proven satisfactory. -
Avoidant Insecure Attachment as a Predictive Factor for Psychological Distress in Patients with Early Breast Cancer
Sang-Shin Lee, Hyo-Deog Rim, Seung-Hee Won, Jungmin Woo 대한신경정신의학회 Psychiatry Investigation 6 Pages

of 15. Logistic regression analysis revealed predictive factors of distress at follow-up. Results_At baseline, 53 (46.5%) participants were found to be in the distress group. The degree of distress decreased over 1 year (p= 0.003); however, 43 (37.7%) showed significant remaining distress at follow-up. Baseline scores of the ECR-M36 avoidance [odds ratio (OR)=1.045, 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.002–1.090] and HADS-total (OR=1.138, 95% CI=1.043–1.241) were predictors of distress at... -
A comparison of ankle function between adults with and without Down syndrome

물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 2017, 제 6권 제 4호 5 182-188 (7 pages)
Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare ankle function between adults with and without Down syndrome (DS). Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Ten adults with DS and 18 without participated in this study and underwent manual muscle test (MMT), range of motion (ROM) assessment, star excursion balance test (SEBT), and functional movement screen (FMS). The tests were demonstrated to increase their accuracy and the actual measurements were assessed after one or two demonstrations. To... -
Discriminative validity of the timed up and go test for community ambulation in persons with chronic stroke
Seung Heon An, Dae-Sung Park, Ji Young Lim 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 6 Pages
물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 2017, 제 6권 제 4호 4 176-181 (6 pages)
Objective: The timed up and go (TUG) test is method used to determine the functional mobility of persons with stroke. Its reliability, validity, reaction rate, fall prediction, and psychological characteristics concerning ambulation ability have been validated. However, the relationship between TUG performance and community ambulation ability is unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the TUG performance time could indicate community ambulation levels (CAL) differentially... -

물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 2017, 제 6권 제 3호 7 146-151 (6 pages)
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects rhythmic and non-rhythmic aerobic exercises on depression and balance of healthy elderly people. Design: Randomized controled trial. Methods: Nineteen older subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups for rhythmic and non-rhythmic aerobic exercises. Both aerobic exercises consisted of functional movements such as turning in opposite directions, and running in place, the exercise consisted of movements that could activate...
