Low-structure black has proved to be a useful addition to the group of reinforcing fillers, allowing greater compounding flexibility and economy. Quite apart from the quality advantages, the volume used to date represents a considerable dollar saving by the rubber industry. Low-structure has also filled a need in a number of critical applications, and promises to become of increasing importance.
