The results of cholangiography with Biligrafin in a series of 101 caes seen at the Dept. of Radiology Yonsei Medical College are reported. In a number of cases, non-visualization of the gall bladder by an oral opaque medium has been followed by distinct visualization by Biligrafin. Hence, the oral method must be assumed to afford more information regarding the function of the gall bladder than intravenous cholangiography with biligrafin, which dose not yield any data about the concentration power of the organ. Our findings suggest that failure to visualize the gall bladder at the same time that successful visualization of the billiary ducts is achieved following injection of Bilirafin indicates severe changes of the gall bladder, cystic duct, or both with mechanical obstruction to the entrance of opaque medium. In 9 cases of intravenous cholangiogrphy, ascaris densities were detected which were further confirmed on operating table. And the upper G.I. series performed to these patients revealed ascaris density in the descending duodenal loop in their films.
