Last twenty years since the introduction of library science as a new scholarship to Korea are considered as a period of imitation and wander. We are supposed to try relevant changes in library education to settle it down and to keep up with world trends in Korea. This paper discusses development and status quo of curricula in foreign countries and tries to show a guide for the library science field in Korea. The writer makes recommendations for the improvement of curricula for Korean library schools.
