정류식 분배법으로 효모 히스티딘 t-RNA 를 분별하였다. 히스티딘 t-RNA 의 분배율이 1이 될 수 있는 용매를 선택하여 그 분배에 사용하였다. 1060 회수의 전달 후의 t-RNA의 히스티딘 수용 능력은 출발 시료에 비하여 11 배로 증가하였다. 200 회수의 전달 후에 히스티딘 t-RNA 는 1개의 다량 성분과 2개의 미량 성분으로 분리된다.
The technique of steady state distribution has been used to fractionate the histidine t-RNA of yeast. A solvent system has been chosen in which the partition coefficient of histidine t-RNA becomes close to 1. Histidine acceptor activity of the t-RNA increased 11 fold that of original mixture of t-RNA after 1060 transfers of steady state distribution. Three histidine t-RNA peaks have appeared after 200 transfers: One major and two additional minor peaks.
