Arteriovenous fistula, a complication following operation for prolapsed lumbar disk in a 22 year old medical student is reported with a review of literatures. He underwent lumbar disk surgery without eventful, but thrill on his right lower quadrant back and abdomen, genegralized edema, and dizziness were followed 2-3 were after operation. Abdominal aortography for diagnostic procedure revealed rapid passage of contrast medium into the inferior vena through the right common iliac artery.
