A radiological and clinical evaluation had been made on the patients who injured in urinary tract, in Yonsei University College of Medicine, Severance Hospital and Wonju Christian Hospital during the period from January, 1968 to December, 1977. The results are as follows : 1. The age of the patients ranged from 3 years to 68 years old, more prevalent is in the third decade showing the rate of 23%, then in the first or the second decade, each having the rate of 19.7%. The sex ratio, male to female, was 5 : 1. 2. 41.9% of the total injuries was caused by automobile accident, followed falling by height (24.8%), kick (7.7%) and blow (3.4%). 3. Of 50 cases of renal injuries, radiographic findings by the classification of the extent showed : a. Incomplete visualization of calyces (20 cases), hematoma in intrarenal or calyceopelvic systems (6 cases) and negative findings (4 cases) in minor injury 32 cases. b. Irregular extravasation of contrast media (10 cases), hematoma formation (7 cases) and incomplete visualization of calyces (12 cases) in major injury 15 cases. c. Extravasation of contrast media (2 cases), renal enlargement (2 cases) and non-or incomplete visualization of calyces (3 cases) in shattered injury 3 cases. 4. Authors suggest and recommend the angiorgraphic study for the cases of blunt abdominal trauma suspectin renal trauma and that the selective renal angiography is the best method of the diagnostic procedure for the precise investigation of renal injury, confirmative diagnosis and the determination of the form of the treatment. 5. Investigation of bladder injuries reveals that 9 cases were associated with pelvic bone fracture and 11 cases were intraperitoneal type and 6 cases were extraperitoneal type of rupture. 6. Of 45 cases of male urethral injured, the most common involvement site was membranous portion and the next was bulbous portion. The radiographic findings show the extravasation of contrast media in 17 cases, deformed bladder in 11 ases and hematoma within the bladder in 6 cases among the total 20 cases.
