Stenosis of the proximal airway is one of the most serious clinical condition not only because it can lead to respiratory failure but also because of technical difficulties in surgical treatment. We performed successul dilatiotion of the left main bronchus stenosis in two adult patient with bronchial tuberculosis by using an in-flatable balloon. Balloon dilation can be cpnsidered as an initial method of treatment in patients with tracheobron-chial stenosis especially in cases of non-neoplastic stricture.
