We experienced a rare case of intraductal (common hepatic duct) hepatocellular carcinoma. Review of the literature disclosed 30 cases or less in which common duct involvement was a predominent clincal feature. Well demarcated ovoid filling defect mass in CHD without parenchymal tumor mass was noted in ultrasound PTC& CT study . The liver was cirrhotic but a-fetoprotein level was normal. Differential diagnosis especially with Klatskin tumor is important and thought to be possible
