A relatively simple module for the electromagnetic activation of selector needles(hooks and levers for controlling jack levers of Dobby) was developed to replace the punched card input of a standard Dobby. A detailed description of the hardware and programming procedure is given to demonstrate the versatility of the system. It was found that the system can effectively control the Dobby motion by the signals from weave pattern designing system.
