Mesenchymal harmatoma of the liver is a rare benign tumor of childhood which has geen confused with various other benign liver lesions, particulary vascular harmatoma which are mesodermal but not mesenchymal. patients with this tumor are usually asymptomatic and present with abdominal distention and a palpable abdominal mass. Most of the tumors are in the right lobe of the liver or attached by a stalk to it. Liver function test is rarely abnormal. treatment is surgical removal and the prognosis is good. Malignant changes or recurrence after removal are not reported.
