A new triterpenoidal saponin was isolated from the methanol extract of Achyranthes fauriei roots (Amaranthaceae). The structure of this saponin was elucidated as $3-{eta}-D-glucopyranosyl-olean-12-en-28-O-3-{eta}-D-glucopyranosyl$ ester.
