Coercive couple of a 2-ply multifilament yarn derived in terms of physical and mechanical characteristics of its constituent filaments and yam structural parameters. Experimental and theoretical results were compared for the multifilament yarn and with various structural parameters. The theoretical coercive couple of a 2-ply multifilament yarn shows good agreement to experimental one at the range from 0.5 to 0.7 of frictional coefficient on the strand.
