A study has been made on the draw resonance by melt spinning of PP/LDPE blend fibers at various blend ratios. As the content of PE increased, the system became more stable and thus higher critical draw ratio and shorter resonance period were obtained. The slope of the Dmax/Dmin value with respect to draw ratio was increased with extrusion rate for the homo PP, while the slope was slightly decreased as the PE content increased.
