Many of the development countries in the world have been investing a lot of money and developing plans for a national digital library in order to .:em the information power in the 21st century. In order for our country to compete with others, it is also urgent to build a National Digital Library in Korea, which can provide a variety of multimedia information for the people. In this study, based on the investigation of the several cases of the national digital libraries in the developed countries, we suggest a detailed plan for the National Digital Library which includes building, facilities, equipments, organization, staff, events, frictions, and expected budget
