Effects of compounds isolated from Ainsliaea acerifolia on alcohol metabolism in rats were examined and the results were as follows: Apigenin $7-O-{eta}-D-glucoside$, after a single oral administration to rats, was found to cause a significant decrease in the serum ethanol concentration as well as enhancement of liver cytosolic alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH) activity.
