Susceptibility tests of a field -collected strain of the adult house flies, Musca domestica to 14 synthetic pyrethroid, 12 organophosphorous and 1 carbamate insecticides were carried out by using a topical application method. The house flies were the most highly susceptible to deltamethrin with $LD_{50}$ of $0.027 mu extrm{g}$/female followed by alpha-cypermethrin and $lambda$-cyhalothrin with the values of 0.029 and $0.030mu extrm{g}$/female, respectively. Also, ciscypermethrin, bioallethrin and prothiofos appeared relatively higher susceptible with the values of 0.032, 0.069 and $0.085mu extrm{g}$/female, respectively. On the other hand, pyridaphenthion, profenofos, fenthion, pirimiphos-methyl, and fenitrothion were over 20-fold less susceptible than deltamethrin in this bioassay. Especially, pyridaphenthion was 81.1-fold less susceptible than deltamethrin. The insecticide resistance of the house flies was revealed at permethrin $(RRLD_{50}=3.96;;LD_{50}=0.103)$ among tested 5 insecticides within recent 5 years. During past 23 years, 9 tested insecticides were comparatively susceptible except permethrin (RRLD$_{50}$ = 11.44). Furthermore, bioallethrin $(RRLD_{50}=0.38)$ and chlorpyrifos $(RRLD_{50}=0.79;;LD_{50}=0.324)$ returned to high susceptibility in this period.d.
