Agricultural polyethylene mulching film containing a UV reflective additive which is known to exhibit insect repelling ability was manufactured. By measuring UV reflectance ratio($R_{A}/R_{B}$) which is known as a criterion for insect repellency, the optimum composition of mulching film was investigated. Also, the mechanical properties and the corresponding morphology of the above films were investigated. Tismo-D was used as a UV reflective additive and the composition of TIsmo-D in prepared mulching film was varied from 0 to 10 wt%. Meanwhile, in order to investigate the reproducibility of the film for mechanical properties, bulk samples with the identical compositions were also prepared and their mechanical property and morphology were analyzed. The maximum $R_{A}/R_{B}$ was obtained at 3 wt% Tismo-D, and maximum mechanical property were obtained at the same Tismo-D content.
