본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관 웹사이트의 효율적인 활용을 위하여 웹사이트의 설계지침을 제공하는데 있다. 웹자원평가 기준과 도서관 웹사이트 설계 기준을 근거로 조사 기준을 설정하고, 이 기준을 적용하여 국내 23개 대학도서관 웹사이트를 권위, 정보내용, 기능성, 디자인 측면에서 조사 분석하였다. 국내 대학도서관 웹사이트는 메뉴체계, 접근편의성, 디자인 등의 면에서 많은 문제점이 나타났으며, 연구 결과에서 대학도서관 웹사이트의 설계 지침을 제안하였다.
