Along with five known triterpene glycosides, a new triterpene glucosyl ester, named crataegioside, was isolated from the roots of Rubus crataesifolius Bunge. The structure was established as ilexosapogenin A 28-O-$eta$-D-glucopyranosyl ester by chemical and spectroscopic methods.
