To increse the shedding of the single acting jacquard machine, new warp lifting mechanism has beer developed using Working Model simulation. Since the shedding of existing single acting jacquard machines is too small, warp might be damaged at the entrance and exist of the gripper of the rapier loom. To prevent the damage of warp, a new warp lifting mechanism has been designed. Test result shows that new mechanism can be utilized for the rapier loom of the sled length 2,700 mm, while the existing mechanism is for the sled length 1,900 mm. Maximun speed can also be increased from 180 rpm to 214 rpm.
