본 논문의 목적은 문헌정보학과의 정보기술 관련 교과목들을 연구하는 것이다. 컴퓨터와 통신기술의 발달은 도서관과 사서직의 업무에 많은 변화를 가져왔으며, 사서직을 배출하는 문헌정보학과들은 정보환경의 변화에 대응하기 위하여 정보기술 교과목을 개설하여 필요한 교육을 하여왔다. 문헌정보학과들이 개설한 정보기술 교과목의 변화와 교육 내용을 조사하고, 이러한 교육이 도서관 현장의 요구를 어느 정도로 반영하는가를 밝히는 것이 본 연구의 의도이다.
The purpose of this paper is to study the information technology-related courses offered by the Departments of Library and Information Science. Rapid development of computer and telecommunication technologies has brought many changes in the work environments of libraries as well as librarians functions. Accordingly the Departments of Library and Information Science have been teaching information technology to meet the changing needs of the information environment. This research aims at finding out how the information technology-related courses have been changed, what are the contents of those courses, and what libraries need as for as information technology is concerned.
