최근 인터넷에는 기존의 문서나 이미지뿐만 아니라 3차원 그래픽 데이터도 급속히 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 3차원 그래픽 데이터의 검색을 지원하는 웹 데이터베이스 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 그래픽 데이터의 내용기반 질의를 위한 XML 기반의 데이터 모델인 3DGML(3-Dimensional Graphic Modeling language)을 제시하고자 한다. 3DGML은 사용자 정의 태그(rag)를 통해서 확장 가능한 XML을 사용하여 정의하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 3DGML에 적합한 시스템 설계를 제시하였다.
Recently, there are many documents and image data, moreover 3D graphic data have increased rapidly. Therefore, the new database system which supports 3D graphic data is required. In this paper, we will propose a new data model, 3DGML (3Dimensinal Graphic Modeling language). This model is based on XML Documents representing 3D graphic data and designed for CBIR (Content-Based Information retrieval). The 3DGML is defined using ext-ensibility of XML Lastly, we will present an experimental system applicable to this model.
