1. sinclairii의 균의 형태학적 특성 및 배양특성을 조사한 결과 PDA배지에서 24$pm$1$^{circ}C$, 14일간 배양시 colony는 직경 35.6mm로 생장하였으며, 배양 앞, 뒷면은 흰색을 띠었다. 현미경 관찰시 균사는 투명하며 직경 2.1-4.5$mu extrm{m}$이고, 분생자형성세포(phialides)는 4.1-5.2${ imes}$2.7-3.2 $mu extrm{m}$ 크기로 2-4개 발생하며, 선단의 목은 길고 뚜렷하였다. 연쇄상으로 발생하는 분생포자는 타원형 혹은 굽은 형태이며 평균 6.33${ imes}$3.33$mu extrm{m}$ 크기이다. PDA 배지에서 1. sinciairii의 균사생장은 21-$25^{circ}C$에서 직경 55mm 크기이며, 동일 환경에서 pH 5로 처리시 56mm로 가장 우수한 생장을 보였다. 한편 포자 유발을 위해 현미배지를 이용하여 온도 16-2$0^{circ}C$에서 정치배양시 포자농도는 14.5${ imes}$$10^7$ conidia/$mell$이었으며, 동일조건에서 pH 6로 처리시 14.5$ imes$$10^7$conidia/$mell$로 가장 우수한 포자형성 율을 보였다.
NIAST has developed the artificial cultivation technique of entomopathogenic fungus, Isaria sinclairii by using the silkworm. NIAST is planning to provide the silkworm farmers the guidance of the technique. Screening of pharmacologically active principles of I. sinclairii is needed to register the fungal breeding, attain the approval of food materials, and ultimately position the fungus as a high value-added product. The result of investigating the characteristics of Isaria sinclairii was showed that conidia were irregularly long oval-shaped and measured 6.33$ imes$3.33 $mu extrm{m}$ in average The optimal condition of cultivating hyphae was pH 5.0 in acidity and 21- $25^{circ}C$ in temperature. And the best condition of producing conidia was pH 6.0 in acidity and 16-$20^{circ}C$ in temperature.
