본 논문에서는 새로운 DVB-S2 표준모델에 대한 적절한 시스템 요구사항, 채널 환경, 전송 시나리오에 따른 주요 변복조 기법에 대한 새로운 설계 가이드를 제시한다. 특히, 열악한 채널 환경(Ka band)에서 동작 가능한 강인한 복조 알고리즘을 주요 설계 요소로 고려하였고 여러 종류의 DVB-S2 전송모드를 수용할 수 있는 수신기법을 제시하였다. 그리고 기존에 제시된 설계 형태에서 고속의 동작을 위한 새로운 프레임 동기 기술 및 변조기법 분류화 기술도 고려하였다. 제안된 기법들은 성능과 H/W 복잡도 측면에서 밀접한 관련이 있으며 기존에 제시된 기법들에 대해 개선된 성능을 보임으로써 향후, 성공적인 DVB-S2 시스템 구현에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
In this paper. we propose a design guideline of the main MODEM technique considering the system specification, channel condition and transmission scenario compliant with DVB-S2 standard. Especially, we employ the robust demodulation algorithm and the essential design factors applicable to under worst channel condition. We consider the various different transmission modes following VCM (Variable Coding and Modulation) and ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation) technique besides unicast profile, the enhanced frame synchronization scheme to reduce the acquisition time and modulation classification scheme. The proposed schemes are shown to provide a good trade-off relation between complexity and performance and are verified in detail their improved performances. Hereafter, it is expected that DVB-S2 system will be implemented by employing the advanced demodulator, successfully.
