2006년 6월말 현재 국내 휴대폰 가입자는 3,938만명을 넘어서 휴대폰 보급률이 81.7%에 이르렀다. 이처럼 휴대폰 보급이 급증하면서 휴대폰은 휴대폰 단말기 및 콘텐츠 사용과 관련된 범죄의 만연과 대응방안의 미비로 인해 신종범죄의 온상이 되고 있다. 그러나 현재 국내에서는 휴대폰 관련 범죄에 대한 학문적 연구가 거의 전무한 실정이다. 이에 이 연구에서는 휴대폰 범죄의 개념 및 유형, 특성, 관련 법규, 그리고 실태를 간략하게 살펴보고, 휴대폰 범죄에 대한 효율적 대응방안을 모색하여 보기로 한다.
In Korea, the number of cellular phone user rapidly increases. As cellular phone users increase, the crime related cellular phone terminal and contents becomes a newly emerging serious social problem. However, the study on cellular phone crime is very rare in Korea now. The purpose of this study are an examination of the concept, types and the current condition of cellular phone crime, and a suggestion for efficient countermeasures of cellular phone crime.
