Sources of resistance to bacterial spot, lately found in introductions from Vietnam, Laos, and Nepal, were crossed to a cytoplasmic genic male sterile line ($Srfrf$), Chilbok-A, to identify their genotype for the nuclear fertility restorer gene. KC00897, KC00995 and KC01015 produced male fertile $F_1$ plants in the crosses with Chilbok-A and were, therefore, restorers with $N(S)RfRf$ genotype. KC00939, KC01006, KC01327 and KC01328, however, resulted in male sterile $F_1$ plants indicating that they were maintainers with $Nrfrf$ genotype.
