We report photorefractive (PR) polymer composites doped with 2-piperidino-5-thienylmalononitrile chromophore. The PR polymer composites showed a glass transition temperature of $25{sim}27^{circ}C$, good transparency at 633 nm and long shelf lifetimes at room temperature. The PR polymer composites with a thickness of $100{mu}m$ showed a maximum diffraction efficiency of 77~91% and a rapid response time of 110~980 ms at the glass transition temperature. In addition, the composite C3 was observed at a video-rate response time at $35^{circ}C.
