This paper is intended to find microorganisms that are good for salt-damage-resistant concrete and to apply them to concrete. Two concrete types were used in this study. One was silica concrete that was mixed with silica fume and microorganisms from the West Sea, and the other was normal concrete that was mixed only with microorganisms. The concrete specimens were cured in water for seven days and immersed in water that had the same salt concentration as sea water. A salt damage resistance test was performed to compare the microorganism-mixed concrete and the plain concrete. To evaluate the salt damage resistance, two reagents were alternately sprayed and the colors were checked using the indicators of the Testing Method for Chloride Ion Penetration of Concrete (KS F 2737). This study is only a basic study, and further studies will be needed to improve the defects of concrete. Studies that involve the addition of multiple microorganisms or the use of those collected from other areas are now being prepared or are already underway.
