This study examines theories related to smoke control in large indoor stadiums, and regulations relevant to smoke control facilities in and out of Korea. Also, by using the CFD simulation program named STAR-CCM+, this study analyzes and compares smoke and thermal distribution by smoke control methods through changing exhaust pipes in a large indoor stadium. Based on its results, this study attempts to draw a necessary technological basis that shows basic information of designing a smoke control facility of a large indoor stadium.
