The purpose of this research is to investigate the level of awareness and treatment condition of scoliosis, and provide the basic data to give awareness, prevention and maintenance of scoliosis, targeting the middle and high school students. From 11th, April 2011 to 27th April 2011, this researcher executed the survey targeting 765 students from the middle and high school by selecting two middle schools and two high schools, and bus terminals and apartment complexes which have the high population density and mobility in Chungnam Seosan city. The result of the research is like this. The level of awareness about scoliosis in the middle and high school appeared highly as 63%. The answer which shows not having the treatment after they are diagnosed with scoliosis appeared most highly as 43 people(51.2%), the answer which shows having the treatment and then quitting it appeared as 22 people (26.2%), and the answer which shows having the treatment after they are diagnosed with scoliosis appeared as 19 people (22.6%).
