웹 UI 자동화 테스트는 구축하여 운영할 때, 현실적으로 어려움이 있다. 자동화 테스트케이스 집합(Set)을 구축하는데 초기 투자비용이 많이 들고, 구축한 후에도 유지보수 비용이 많이 발생한다. 또한 필요 시 바로 실행될 수 있는 자동화 집합을 통합 관리하려면 많은 공수가 투입되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 웹 UI 자동화 테스트 시 발생하는 이런 어려움들을 효과적으로 해결할 수 있는 키워드 기반 웹 서비스 UI 테스트 자동화 프레임웍(kUTAF: Keyword based web service UI Test Automation Framework)을 소개한다. kUTAF은 웹 구성요소와 웹 사용자 행위를 도메인 지정 언어로 맵핑(Mapping)하여 키워드를 구성하고, 이 키워드를 사용해 테스트케이스를 작성하고, 자동화 테스트를 수행하고, 자동화 집합을 통합 관리하는 프레임웍이다. kUTAF을 활용하면 프로그래밍 기술이 없어도 쉽게 자동화 테스트케이스 작성이 가능하고, 작성한 테스트케이스로 자동화 테스트 수행 할 수 있고, 자동화 집합의 유지보수가 쉬워지고, 커뮤니케이션 비용이 감소하고, 그리고 통합 관리 측면에서 많은 효과를 볼 수 있다.
Establishing and sustaining web UI test automation involves a great deal of difficulties. During the initial stage of building automation set, it is accompanied by not only a high investment cost but also a continuous expense for maintenance and repair. Furthermore, maintaining test automation set to be applicable at any time requires much effort. This study introduces Keyword based Web Service UI Test Automation Framework (kUTAF) which is found to be efficient in tackling these aforementioned issues. kUTAF is a universal framework managing automation set by constituting keyword through mapping web components and web user behavior into domain language. Using this keyword, kUTAF forms test case, executes, sustains and fixes test automation easily. kUTAF allows project members to easily make the automation test cases without having a certain level of programming skills, perform test automation with written test cases, maintain automation set easily, lower communication cost and enjoy many fruitful outcomes in management aspect.
