Self-Organization is main mechanism which makes an emergence of form, behavior, structure in complex system. All systems including organisms acquire regular patterns through self-organization, and these patterns obtain optimum form and behavior through the interaction with environment. Architecture is also available to be sustainable in the changing environment and performs multiple purpose through introducing the concept of biological self-organization. The characteristics of self-organization are 3-D spatial structure, redundancy, differentiation, hierarchy, modularity. The similar architectural concepts can be related to the self-organization as L-system, instrumental geometry, Voronoy diagram, form-finding by dynamic relaxation, differential surface actuation, differentiation and proliferation, biological new material.
