This research aims at implementing an interface between Revit Architecture and Midas which are created for architectural design documentation and structural analysis respectively. Although these two applications performs very well in each professional area such as architectural design and structural analysis, it is not so efficient to take advantage of the Midas in the early design stage because there is no useful interface between these applications. In this context this research addresses a way of implementing an interface which is so expandable by employing the IFC format. Besides, this research addresses the limitations of IFC format from the perspective of linking the Revit Architecture and Midas by using IFC.
