This study aims at proposing schemes to promote supplying small urban housing to which low-income and one to two household can afford in a city. To do this, it summarizes the definitions of the small urban housing and suggests the existing conditions and problems according to the typology. Finally, it draws the following conclusions by monitoring the actual cases. It proposes 1) to deregulate the related laws to develop a small urban housing, 2) to strengthen the restrictions on illegal cooking and the land-use change, and 3) to adopt an alternative housing-type. This study has achieved the goals in creating the reasonable guidelines to encourage developing Urban-life-housing and Gosiwon. Yet, it also has a limitation in that it did not deal with various housing types for just focusing on Urban-life-housing.
