Recently, the Government is driving the construction of Jangbogo Station (the second Antarctic station) in the Antarctic Continent to expand the Antarctic research activities. Janbbogo Station is scheduled to be constructed in the Antarctic coast from 2011 and it should be designed to endure the extreme environment, such as snow load condition caused by an extremely low temperature of below $-28^{circ}C$ and snow and wind and severe Blizzard over 80m/sec. Accordingly, this Study tried to grasp the existing Antarctic problems through post-occupancy evaluation (POE) by identifying questionnaire survey items through extracting construction-related key items from Green Building Certification Criteria (GBCC) and Comprehensive Environmental Evaluation (CEE) and analyzing their correlations, and through the results it tried to catch what the most centralized factors are in building the second Antarctic station. According to the questionnaire results, the most prominent problems were the safety in terms of the uneasiness feeling generated from isolated living and the daily life noise, the weak problem of fabricated structure. The second Antarctic station, a scientific one where a small number of specific researchers will live, should be designed to be a safe, comfortable one wanted by the residents through reflecting the results of this questionnaire survey at the step of planning.
