스마트폰 업계에서는 윈도우폰7 플랫폼이 아이폰 및 안드로이드와 견줄 것으로 예상하고 있다. 이런 이유로 윈도우폰7 기반의 애플리케이션 개발에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으며, 앞으로 많은 애플리케이션이 개발될 것으로 예상된다. 한편, GUI컴포넌트는 스마트폰 애플리케이션에 있어서, 사용자와의 상호 작용에 중요한 수단이 되므로 반드시 테스트 되어야한다. 하지만 아직 윈도우폰7 기반의 애플리케이션 테스트에 관한 도구 및 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이 논문은 윈도우폰7 애플리케이션에서 발생 가능한 GUI오류를 XAML파일과 CS 파일간의 정보 불일치, 이전 플랫폼과 새로운 플랫폼간의 GUI컴포넌트 비호환, 기대하지 않은 실행결과로 분류한다. 또한, 각 경우의 오류 검출 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 GUI테스트 시나리오를 구성하고, 테스트 코드를 자동으로 생성할 수 있는 도구를 구현한다. 이 도구는 GUI 구성정보를 갖고 있는 XAML파일과, 윈도우폰7 애플리케이션을 테스트할 수 있는 소프트하이(SoftHai) 테스트 프레임워크를 이용한다. 이 연구를 통해 테스트코드를 자동으로 생성함으로써 GUI테스트의 효율을 증가 시킬 수 있으며 결과적으로, 윈도우폰7 애플리케이션의 품질을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
In the smartphone industry, Windows Phone7 platform is expected to be comparable to the iPhone or the Android platform. Thus many vendors have concern for development of Windows Phone7-based applications, and in the near future they will develop numerous applications. While, the GUI components in the smartphone applications are recognized as the important means to interact with the user, so they must be tested. However, researches about the tools and the methodology for testing Windows Phone7-based applications are very insufficient. This paper classifies types of GUI errors on Windows Phone7-based applications such as the mismatch of information between a XAML file and a CS file, incompatibility of GUI components between on the old platforms and on the new ones, and unexpected results. Also, we suggest the methods to detect these errors. For this, we have implemented a test tool which can construct the test scenarios and also generates automatically the test codes according to the scenarios. The tool uses XAML files containing GUI information and SoftHai test framework which can test Windows Phone7-based applications. This research can promote efficiency of GUI tests by generating test codes automatically. As a result, it is expected to improve the quality of Windows Phone7-based applications.
