본 논문은 근거리 통신망 (LAN) 의 매체 엑세스 제어 방식 중 하나인 L-Expressnet 프로토콜이 본래의 Expressnet 프로토콜의 구조를 단순화시킨 반면에 채널 이용률을 떨어뜨리는 단점이 있어 이를 보완하고자 다중 패널 기법을 사용하여 한 사이클 동안 더 많은 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 다중채널 L-Expressnet 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 그리고 이 다중 채널 L-Expressnet 프로토콜을 채널이용률 관점에서 분석한 뒤 그 값을 기존의 프로토콜인 Expressnet 프로토콜, L-Expressnet 프로토콜의 채널 이용률과 비교하였다. 그 결과 다중 채널 L-Expressnet 프로토콜이 트래픽(traffic)이 증가할 경우 다른 매체 엑세스 방식들보다 더 나은 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.
In this Paper. Multi-channels L-Expressnet protocol is proposed by supplementing multi-channels control method. This protocol is proposed to complement the shortcomings of the basic protocol which is used for the medium access in LAN. We analyzed the protocol in channel utilization viewpoint and compared the result with that of the Expressnet and L-Expressnet protocol. From this result, we showed that the channel utilization or the Multi-channels L-Expressnet Protocol is superior to that of the other medium access control methods when the channel traffic is increased.
