국문초록

유아 인성프로그램 증가와 함께 유아인성을 평가하는 객관성 있는 척도의 필요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 만 3-5세 누리과정(2013)과 교육과학기술부에서 발행한 인성프로그램 단행본, Lickona(1991)의 인격 구성요소와 유아인성 덕목을 분석한 선행연구를 기초로 하여 실천적 덕목중심 의 교사용 인성 평가척도를 개발하고 그 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 3-5세 담임교사 가 유아들의 인성에 대해 평정하도록 하는 예비검사와 본검사 자료를 토대로 9개 인성요인을 측정하 는 81문항을 최종적으로 선정하여 유아인성 평가척도를 구성하고, 문항분석을 통해 유아 인성 평가척 도가 유아의 인성을 평가하는데 적합한 척도임을 확인하였다. 더 나아가 법칙론적 네트워크 검증방법 을 통해 개발한 척도의 타당도 검증을 한 결과, 개발된 유아 인성 평가척도를 통해 측정된 유아들의 인성은 인성과 관련된 변인인 자존감과 사회성을 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 유아 인성 평가척도의 구인타당도, 준거-관련 타당도와 관련시켜 논의하였다.

영문초록

This study aimed to develop a scale that can rate the character of preschoolers. For this, this study investigated the factors of character from the previous studies related to character attitude and behavior and excerpted items that represent the factors of character and finally made of 83 preliminary items. Eighty-three preliminary items were administered to 193 preschoolers and were analyzed with factor analysis an reliability so that 81 items were confirmed. The 81 items for the main study were administered to 602 preschoolers. Item analysis and factor analysis were executed and identified/confirmed 9 factors with 81 items. Cronbach's alpha ranged from .915 to .949 showing high internal consistencies. A confirmatory factor analysis result provided evidence for the construct validity of the scale. The test of nomological network through structural equation modeling using self-esteem and social behavior provided additional evidence of the construct validity of the character attitude and behavior. The results lend an evidence that the Character Scale can be used as a valid scale to be able to rate 'Character' for preschoolers.
