영문초록

This study was conducted to investigate how a core exercise program using a gym ball impacts the improvement of spinal muscle strength and balance. Twenty students participated and were divided into two groups randomly: a control group and the exercise group. The exercise group exercised for 1 hour 3 times per week for a total of 6 weeks. Measurements were taken to record the change in balance and strength to analyze the data ANOVA and Mann-Whitney test were used. There was a slight difference between each group for muscle strength with regards to core exercises. There was a slight difference between each group for balance in open eye state with regards to core exercises. There were a slight difference between each group for balance in closed eye state with regards to core exercise. Through core exercise program group of strength and balance changes, the results of the above confirmed that there appears to be slight differences in approximately six weeks after starting the core exercise program. In the future, in order to improve muscular strength or balance, the core exercise program should be applied for a minimum of 6 weeks.
